Going to the birds

Playing with the watercolors and trying to keep it on the watery side. I'm a fan of Thomas Schaller and his incedible watercolors and have learned a lot from looking at how soft his backgrounds are. The hard part of watercolor painting, for me, is keeping it simple and knowing when to stop. I think I'm finally getting there with this one. This is my first post of the year and my first painting of the year. Parlaiment and Big Ben along the Themes River in London. From a photo I took on our trip a couple years ago.
